COMMENTS:
The stations on the map are uniformely distributed, and the temperature trend is a clear representation of the climate status of the region.
Scottsboro has a 0.2º F warming, but Valley Head - at a very short distance - shows a cooling of -2.35º F, suggesting Scottosboro must be suffering from the known Urban Heat Island effect.
Alabama clearly is a state that is cooling fast. The IPCC claims there is indeed a dangerous warming - globally - so we must take precautionary actions.
The precautionary action that must be taken, as fast as possible, is disbanding the IPCC!
Global warming means there is an overall warming everywhere in the world. Therefore, if we see a big area as the state of Alabama with a general cooling, the idea of "global warming" loses credibility.
But when the area with lots of cooling - or a least with no great changes - gets as big as the US territory, then the term "global" is out of the question for describing what's going on with temperature trends in the world.
